Early in November 2008 I had a flash of inspiration and the whole project, finished appeared in my head. A week later, it was designed + ready for print (not a lot of sleep during this week).

I discovered these images on Flickr during the year when we were developing the retro design for our website.

John, the photographer of the cars lives in the US now. He took these images between 1974-1976 while he lived in Melbourne. John recently scanned the images after they had spent over 30 years moving around the world and been left in various garages and basements along the way.

Chris lives in Melbourne. He has been documenting advertising signs (and cars also) and is a regular contributor on Flickr.

They both kindly agreed to let me use their work and were absolutely amazing to work with during the process.
